Last week I had the opportunity to remove Antivirus System Pro from not one, but two machines. Given that I was seeing it a bit more frequently I thought it might be a new rogue antivirus application, but I quickly found out that it’s been out at least since June of this year. I took notes on my removal so that I could document it here. Just as with most other rogue antivirus applications Antivirus System Pro is a rogue that claims that many things on your computer are infected with viruses (toolbars attached to the browser, most any application you attempt to launch.) It also repeatedly claims that your system is under attack. While web browsing, search result pages are hijacked to redirect to pages of their own choosing and there are occasional porn site popups. (adult.com was one – I suspect the writer has a bit of an affiliate relationship with them?) Read on for how to remove antivirus system pro.

Enterprise Suite is a rogue antivirus application that is a successor to Windows Enterprise Suite. Enterprise Suite is usually installed without permission on a machine and displays numerous fake scans and popups claiming that the system is infected with multiple viruses. All of these claims are falsified and should not be paid attention to. Further, they will claim that in order to fix the problems with your computer you need to purchase their software. Please do not pay for this, it is a scam. Read on for how to remove Enterprise Suite.

System Defender is a rogue antivirus application that pushes itself to users through the use of scary popups and attack sites. The software, once it is installed will create numerous files and then claim that they are infected with viruses and they need to be cleaned. Of course, they cannot clean them up if you don’t pay for the software. When the software is running it will also bombard users with popups pushing them to purchase and a falsified Windows Security Center claiming that you need to activate System Defender. You are best off not financing these rogues. Read on for how to remove system defender:

SystemWarrior is a rogue security application from the Wini family. It was the last in a long line of Wini rogues to use the older user interface before the release of AntiAid (you never know – they may reuse this interface, but there are a lot of rogues in this family using the old look.) Anyway these are pushed through codec updates. Usually you visit a web page that claims you need to download a new flash codec in order to see a certain video clip. When you agree to download you are actually downloading the installer for their rogue security software. Once on your system it will scan and find lots of files that it claims are viral infected and then pop up endless warnings about the security of your system. None of them are true, but they further claim that in order to clean up your system you must purchase their software. Please don’t purchase their software, but DO read on for how to remove SystemWarrior.

AntiAid is a rogue antivirus/security program that is from the Wini family of Rogues. This is a bit of a departure from much of the long recent history of these rogues due to a new user interface. This rogue (and it’s family) is usually advertised (pushed would be a better term) through codec downloads. They will present content and say that in order to view it you must download this codec which turns out to be the rogue. Once installed, AntiAid will scan your computer and claim there are numerous problems with your system with regards to viral infected files. To remove these it will require that you purchase the software which…. you really shouldn’t do. Read on for how to remove AntiAid.

Antimalware is the name of a particularly interesting rogue antivirus and rogue antimalware application. One tip off that it is a rogue application is that one of it’s first actions is the attempted removal of the following trusted and legitimate antivirus, security and antimalware applications: AVG, Nod32, Agnitum, Sophos, Avira, Avast, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes antimalware, bitdefender. Antimalware also scans your hard drive and claims many files are infected with viruses. It uses the names of known viruses, but the files that it finds are infected really are not viral. It further claims that it will clean up the problems when you purchase the software, but of course, you can’t fix problems that don’t really exist. In short everyone sees the same scan results. Further… antimalware tries to present the look and feel of the windows security center. Read on for how to remove AntiMalware. (Please do not confuse this with the legitimate Malwarebytes Antimalware which we will use to remove this rogue.)

Cyber Protection Center is related to Cyber Security (see how to remove cyber security). These are rogue antivirus applications that will generate many warnings and error messages on your system claiming (falsely) that your system is infected with countless virus and trojan infected files. In reality, Cyber Protection Center may be the biggest threat on your system. They attempt to mimic the windows security center and claim that you are missing a vital antivirus program and of course, Cyber security is what your system is lacking. Please do not follow Cyber Protection Centers advice on installing Cyber Security. Instead please read on for how to remove Cyber Protection Center.

System Fighter is a rogue antivirus application. It is the latest variation in the relentless wini family of rogues. (The last of these was systemveteran (systemveteran removal guide.) Rogue antivirus applications usually install through a popup website that appears to be scanning your computer for viruses (and finding them). This is usually simply a really good animation and you get to see the same thing no matter which web browser or operating system you visit from. They will also popup warnings about files infected on your system and claim the only way to fix the problem they find is to purchase their software. Of course, you can’t fix something that isn’t wrong and so purchasing really doesn’t accomplish much for you. Read on for how to remove system fighter:

SystemVeteran is (yet another) variation from the wini family of rogue antivirus applications. Their last one prior to this was BlockProtector (BlockProtector Removal Guide) but it is a VERY long lived family and they are churning out one variation every two to three days. Most of these have the same look and feel and only differ in the name as well as the file names. They are all a pain in the neck for those that are stuck with them as they all popup warnings about threats detected on your computer that only they can solve if only you would purchase their software. Of course, then they really don’t do much because there weren’t these threats to begin with. Read on to find out how to remove SystemVeteran:

MaCatte Antivirus 2009 is a rogue antivirus application that hopes you will mistake it for the popular McAfee antivirus. Their look and feel is very similar to that of McAfee, but as most rogue antivirus applications it is a program that will give you little more than falsified warnings about non existent threats to your computer and then claim to not be able to fix any of the problems unless you purchase. Of course, it really doesn’t do anything because all of the things that it has warned about are made up phantoms. Read on for how to remove MaCatte Antivirus 2009.
